Committed to developing the next generation of musical theatre artists by providing unrivalled industry training and unique experiences.
Established in 2012 by our Principal and Artistic Director Dan Cowtan, we take an exciting and unique approach to theatre arts, which is different to traditional stage and theatre schools.
Our team of highly skilled teachers create a varied programme of professional training in all disciplines, as well as providing great opportunities that closely emulate the realities of working in the theatre arts industry – such as live stage experiences, industry workshops and many other inspiring opportunities .
Many of these amazing experiences come from our parent company, Vivo D’Arte Ltd, a theatre arts training organisation and production company.
Whether you are looking for a fun musical theatre session or a stepping stone to prepare for a career in the industry, Vivo D’Arte School of Theatre Arts is the place for you.
Find out more about our sessions and book your free taster session.
We run two three-hour Saturday sessions for our students between the ages of 7 and 18:
We also provide both one-to-one and group training sessions for acting, singing and musical theatre. These sessions are non-contractual and flexible, so you can join in as little or as much as you like. Sessions can either be booked on a pay-as-you-go basis or paid each term.
All sessions take place at our dedicated new training HQ.
Our sessions are held in a fun, friendly and safe environment, and offer the high level of support students need to hone their skills, grow in confidence as individuals and performers, and realise their full potential.
No experience is necessary.
In addition to our training sessions, we offer incredible opportunities for our students, including live stage experiences at the Waterside Theatre, Aylesbury – one of the biggest stages in the area. We have produced many performances at this venue, including Whistle Down the Wind, Oliver! and Made in Britain – a showcase of all musicals made in Britain!
Students will also gain access to a long list of theatre and performance-based opportunities including workshops held by West End artists, live productions for local events, festivals and fêtes, seasonal launches, galas and parades, meetings with industry professionals, and film and radio performances.
We’ve been privileged to welcome lots of young performers over the last eight years to showcase their talent and get a first-hand experience of theatre. For us this feels like the next natural step. Being able to nurture home-grown talent within our very own venue walls is incredibly rewarding.Lee Duffy
