James Penniston

James is a graduate with distinction from the MA Musical Theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music following four years, BMus, at the Royal Northern College of Music as a classical baritone. James has worked as a director, teacher and vocal coach for several youth projects including Youth Perform at RNCM, Court Theatre, Tring, and Vivo D’Arte. James performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in a workshop production of a new musical, The Windsinger, directed by Lotte Wakeham. James has performed in many Vivo D’Arte shows, including the professional production of RENT at Frogmore Paper Mill.  Credits in training (RAM): JJ Hunsecker, Sweet Smell of Success, directed by Hannah Chissick; Sipos, This is the Hour performed for Claude-Michel Schönberg, She Loves Me, directed by George Hall; Various Roles, Forgetting You, But Not the Time, directed by Matt Ryan; Bounderby, Hard Times directed by John Caird; (RNCM) Don Giovani directed by Jonathan Ainscough.
